Team USA made all Americans proud as they returned home from the 2024 Paris Olympics with a total of 126 Olympic medals, 40 of which were Gold, distinguishing themselves as the most decorated Olympic team in the world for the eighth consecutive Summer Games!
The last time Team USA won more Olympic medals was in 1984 at the Summer Games in Los Angeles where they took home 174 medals.
According to an ESPN report, at the start of the 2024 Paris Games, the United States had won 2,655 medals in the history of the Summer Olympics, with 1,070 of those being gold. As they returned home from Paris, Team USA had proudly accumulated a grand total of 2,781 medals, of which 1,110 are gold!
When the team heads to Los Angeles again for the 2028 Summer Olympics, my money is on Team USA not only breaking their 1984 medal record but once again being #1 as the winner of the most Olympic medals for the 9th year in a row!!
